Today was a drizzly day. I decided that I wanted to enjoy a fire outside, but I tried and tried and could not get a fire going...not even with starter fluid. The wood was old and damp, still I just wanted a small fire to watch for just a little while. SIGH.

This was kind of a off day for me, I am kind of between projects. Sort of. I measured the next two client quilts but I may not start until after the wedding. These are for a new client and I want to talk to her to make sure we have the same ideas about the quilting before I do to much. The piecing is wonderful and I am ready to get back to quilting for clients again. But in the mean time I am looking for small things that don't take a lot of thought or time. LOL So I got to digging in my scrap bin. I decided it was the perfect time to do something with it. I pressed and folded the larger pieces and put them away. I sorted out some strips and put them in the strip box ( which is now full ) That left me with the above pile of scraps to do something with. I decided to cut them into 3 inch squares.

This is what I ended up with. I have no idea for sure what I will do with them. Maybe nothing. Who knows? I might find a use for them some day. At least they are nicer to keep like this.

I pieced this block. It is my block party block. I am going to have to choose a setting and buy the kit. For the most part I like these blocks they go together nicely for me. I am going to enjoy the finished quilt. LOL We are half way there.
Kind of a odd day for me but I got a little something done. I enjoyed the day and that is what matters.
