This is what grew out of my flower bed this year.

We have no idea how a watermelon got planted there

but there it is.

We decided to leave it so of course

 it grew out into the yard and

we have not been able to mow around the flower bed all summer.

 

 

 I have no idea when a watermelon is ready to pick

but I picked these yesterday.

I am more than ready to mow around the flower bed.

Two nice sized melons

from a volunteer plant.

Not to bad.

I hope they are good when we cut them.
