I found this resting on a tree the other day... Husband says that this is what the green worms that get on tomato plants ( we call them tomato worms ) turn into. Not as pretty as a butterfly.

At 4 AM this morning it was already 90 in the studio.. I know I am awake far to early this day.. sigh. I did not want to turn on the air to play for a hour or so... So here I am.. I have plenty of things I could do, but nothing I want to do right now. LOL Do you have days like that? Humm!!!

I should probably just go back to bed and try to sleep..

Your husband is mistaken. They turn into hige moths as big as hummingbirds. Look here: http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/field/hornworm.htm

The moth you photographed is actually a luna moth.
